Story

The Story In Detail:
The story is set at Gaddigodam, Nagpur, Jhund starts with Manjule providing us a glimpse of the people living in slums who live off of their hands. The youth engage in various illegal activities, from chain-snatching, to selling illegal alcohol. If they aren’t smoking they may indulge in gambling, and even get into violent street fights.
On the other side, Vijay Borade (Amitabh Bachchan) is a coaches sports in St John’s School and a social worker is on the threshold of retirement. When he sees the slum children playing football using the barrel of plastic on a rainy day it is clear to him that he could channel their talents to the right direction to free them from the dark abyss of addiction and crime.
Vijay gradually becomes friends with the kids and starts to instruct players in the game of football. As he coaches they identify their personal goals and work to become more human beings. But, will the other side be welcoming to them?
