Top Ten Tuesday | Even more anticipated 2021 releases!

TTT-NEW

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week you compile a list of ten books which coincide with that week’s theme. You can find everything you need to know about joining in here!

This week’s theme is ‘Most Anticipated Books of the Second Half of 2021’, so today I’m talking about the books I’m most excited for being published from July-December 2021!

A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers: I have no idea what this is about, but it’s a Becky Chambers story and therefore I want to read it. 13th July 2021.

She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan: I’ve been lucky enough to receive a copy of this via NetGalley. I love me some Asian-inspired fantasy, and any story described as Mulan meets The Song of Achilles is a story I want to read. 22nd July 2021.

How We Fall Apart by Katie Zhao: I love YA thrillers and this novel has been compared to One of Us is Lying, which I really enjoyed. 3rd August 2021.

Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia: I’ve read every single one of Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s novels and I’m not about to stop that now. I enjoyed her debut thriller, Untamed Shore, last year, so I’m looking forward to more! 17th August 2021.

White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson: Jackson is one of my favourite YA thriller authors and her latest novel is described as The Haunting of Hill House meets Get Out, so I need it. 14th September 2021.

Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune: I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea and Klune’s latest novel is another queer fantasy romance that sounds like it’s also going to be very gentle. I probably won’t be reading a copy for a while, though, unless I can find it in the library or the kindle price comes down! 21st September 2021.

Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson: I’ve yet to read any of Margaret Rogerson’s novels – and I have Amanda @ Literary Weaponry to thank for bringing this one to my attention – but if there’s something I can’t get enough of, it’s fantasy stories that feature nuns, priestesses, convents and holy relics. This novel sounds perfect for me. 28th September 2021.

A Spindle Splintered by Alix E. Harrow: Harrow has quickly become one of my favourite authors, so of course I want to give this novella a try! 5th October 2021.

That Dark Infinity by Kate Pentecost: A fantasy romance between a cursed mercenary who spends his days as a skeleton and the princess’s handmaiden he agrees to train? Yes please. 19th October 2021.

Jade Legacy by Fonda Lee: I need this finale. 7th December 2021.

Hope you enjoy ALL of these! Don’t think any of these have crossed my radar as something I’m seriously interested in, but then, sometimes I don’t even read about something if I already have too many books to keep up with! πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland last week.

Most of these are new to me! I still need to read The House in the Cerulean Sea so their latest hasn’t quite made it to my TBR. I’ll be excited to hear what you think about it. πŸ™‚

I just learned about Margaret Rogerson’s upcoming release. I had no idea she had something else in the works, so I’m excited for that one! πŸ™‚

I just requested Vespertine on Netgalley, which I’m sure will be denied. I’m going to put it on hold at the library, just in case. Excited for that one though! I could have sworn I put it on my list.. oops! haha
