Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week you compile a list of ten books which coincide with that week’s theme. You can find everything you need to know about joining in here!
This week’s theme is all about our anticipated releases for the second half of the year. I’ve got into the habit of doing a big list of all the books I’m looking forward to, but today I’ve narrowed it down to the ten books I’m most excited for that are being released from July-December!
For a full list of all of my anticipated 2020 books, you can check out my shelf on Goodreads here.
Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite ed. by Zoraida Córdova and Natalie C. Parker: I mentioned at the beginning of the year that I want to give more vampire stories a try, so this new anthology is coming out at exactly the right time and will be perfect Halloween reading!
Loveless by Alice Oseman: As someone on the aro/ace spectrum, I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to see a YA novel exploring the world through the eyes of an aro/ace character.
Well Played by Jen DeLuca: Well Met was such a cute rom-com – I can’t wait for more love stories set at this Ren Faire!
The Care and Feeding of Waspish Widows by Olivia Waite: I had so much fun with The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics, so I am here for more f/f historical fiction from Olivia Waite.
The Ippos King by Grace Draven: I really enjoyed Radiance and Eidolon, and I’m so excited to continue with this series with the long-awaited book focusing on Serovek and Anhuset. Anhuset is one of my faves from the first two books, so I can’t wait to read more about her.
These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong: This Romeo and Juliet retelling is set in Shanghai in the 1920s, and I’d like it in my hands immediately.
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik: Novik’s Spinning Silver is one of my all-time favourite novels, so I’m definitely interested in reading her much darker version of a school of magic.
Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse: This new fantasy novel is set in a world inspired by the history of pre-Columbian South America. I was a little bit in love with the Aztecs as a child, so this is one I’ll definitely be checking out.
The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow: I loved Harrow’s debut, The Ten Thousand Doors of January, so I can’t wait to read a book from her about witches.
The Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson: Speaking of witches, this fantasy horror novel is out in July and it sounds like the perfect Halloween read.
YAY for “Well Played.” I haven’t yet read her first novel, but I own it, and am hopeful I’ll enjoy!! 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland this past week.

The Year of the Witching is on my list as well! I loved Uprooted and Spinning Silver, but I’m not sure a Deadly Education is for me…I’ll have to read some reviews to decide.
