I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t a little disappointed that I didn’t manage to get an O in Astronomy or Potions like I hoped I would, but once I read City of Blades and got my E in DADA I felt myself heading towards a slump. Not because I didn’t enjoy City of Blades – I really did! – but because I went straight from the Medieval-A-Thon into the N.E.W.Ts Readathon and I was starting to feel a bit burned out.
Ultimately, though, the N.E.W.Ts were a success for me this year! I’ve achieved an O in History of Magic, an E in Potions, DADA, Charms and Arithmancy and an A in Astronomy, and I’m ready to return to Hogwarts today to take up my post as History of Magic Professor.
Thanks so much to Gi @ Book Roast for once again hosting such a fun readathon!
Did you reach all of your N.E.W.Ts goals?
