Hello and welcome to Jessticulates.com!
With any luck some of you already know me through my blog over on Blogger, Jessticulates, formerly known as Curiouser and Curiouser, and if you’ve just come from there, hello and thank you for sticking around!
I’ve been thinking of moving from Blogger to WordPress for a while now and I’ve finally taken the plunge not only to move to WordPress, but to buy my own domain name and become Jessticulates.com.
Why? For no other reason than I felt like it. I was starting to become frustrated with Blogger; as much as I’ve always found it easy to use, I felt as though I could never quite get my blog looking how I’d like it to look no matter what I did, and I’ve always thought that it’s been difficult for people who don’t have Blogger themselves to leave comments easily.
(I don’t have this blog looking 100% how I’d like it to look just yet either, but it’s a work in progress…)
Not only that, but as much as I love using Bloglovin’ I like the ease of having a direct button that other people with WordPress accounts can use to follow my blog here.
My content isn’t going to change; this is still a book blog and still a place where I’m going to chat about all the nerdy things I’m into, but from time to time I may write about travel or work or anything else I fancy. I’m trying to stop myself from feeling like there are certain things I can’t talk about just because I primarily talk about books, especially when this is my blog and I can do whatever I like with it. Blogging is supposed to be a hobby, not a chore, and I’m hopeful that this fresh start will see me being a lot more active than I feel I’ve been!
So if you were already following me over on Blogger, I’d be delighted if you would follow me here, too. I’ll be leaving that blog up, so you can still find all my old reviews there (and I’ll be linking back to those older reviews from here) but from now on all my new content will be here.
Thank you to everyone who followed my previous blog and made blogging even more fun and interactive than it already was, and I hope you stick around!
