A couple of years ago I had a look through my shelves to see how many non-white authors I had read and the number was shockingly low. That moment I decided I want to read at least 100 authors of colour before I hit 30. I’ve been making more of an effort to read books by people from completely different backgrounds, races and countries to my own, but I know I still have a long way to go!
